“Be the change you want to see in the world” – Mahatma Gandhi
At SW1, we believe that all of us have the power to make a difference.
To Live without Limits. To Challenge Boundaries. To Change the World.
This August, in recognition of World Humanitarian Day (August 19th), 10% of its sales proceeds from SW1 and chai skincare range will be donated to 3 selected local charities.
CARE Singapore
Children-At-Risk Empowerment Association (CARE Singapore) is a charity that helps at-risk youths succeed in life. CARE is also an appointed Centre of Specialisation for Youth Empowerment. Its mission is to help vulnerable youths find direction, hope and success. CARE engages, educates and empowers the youth through motivational life-skills instruction, counselling therapy, socio-emotional support, after-school activities, mentoring, leadership development and family support. By diverting them from crime, self-harm and wasted lives, and developing their potential instead, CARE helps them build a future. Every year, CARE helps over 1000 youths rewrite their life stories.
Homeless Hearts of Singapore
The Homeless Hearts of Singapore primarily focuses on building long-term relationships and inculcating a sense of community among the homeless and volunteers. The group provides emotional and financial support through fortnightly outreaches to stay-out friends and take care of their needs. Volunteers provide advice to the homeless on the availability of free resources and services, host celebration events during festivals, check out reported cases of homelessness and provide temporary aid or personal attention for certain homeless cases.
Women On A Mission
Women on a Mission (WOAM) is a non-profit organisation, headquartered in Singapore, which aims to raise awareness and funds for women survivors of war and to support and empower women who have been subjected to violence and abuse. In Singapore, its work involves supporting organisations such as UN Women, AWARE’s Sexual Assault Care Centre and a big sister programme for Pertapis Women and Girls Home. WOAM partners with existing well-established non-profit institutions that already have well-run programmes and structures in place dedicated to serving the underprivileged with a particular focus on women’s issues.
Customers may indicate their preference for the organisation that they wish to donate the proceeds to in-clinic and online. The SW1 & chai skincare range is available in-clinic at SW1, 13th Floor, Paragon Medical Center, and at www.SW1shop.com.
