By utilizing fractionated Airbrush Fx Dual Laser (1550nm), it targets aging and sun-damaged skin with highly precise microscopic laser columns that penetrate deep into the dermis of the skin to stimulate collagen formation.

 

With each pulse, only a fraction of tissue is treated. The surrounding area which is left intact promotes faster skin healing, with significantly shortened recovery period and reduced downtime compared to traditional CO2 laser resurfacing techniques.

The added option of a Thulium fiber component allows dramatic correction to various pigmented skin lesions that cloud the complexion as the 1927nm wavelength is highly specific and effective against brown pigments found in abundance in sun damage lentigines (sun spots), age spots and freckles.

How Is the Procedure Like?

A thin layer of numbing cream is applied onto the skin prior to treatment, and cold air is used during the procedure to cool down the treated area(s). Most patients describe the feeling of the Airbrush Fx Dual Laser treatment as an increased sensation of heat.

Immediately post treatment, your skin may appear pink or red and slightly swollen much like a sunburn. This sensation usually diminishes within a few hours and gradually disappears over the next day or two. What Kind of Downtime Do I Expect?

Day 1-2: For the first 24 hours, it is common to feel as though your skin is sunburnt, with redness and swelling that will gradually improve over the next day or two. Cleansing and wearing of makeup immediately is possible with no disruption to daily activities.

Day 3-5: The skin feels rough and over the next couple of days you may have mild flaky skin. For more intense sessions and depending on your healing process, flaking may continue for up to one week or more.

What Kind of Post Treatment Care Should I Be Aware Of?

As with most, if not all light and laser treatments, it is important to avoid unnecessary sun exposure and be adequately protected from any. Wear a broad spectrum sunscreen of SPF 50 or more to protect your skin during both the healing phase and for several months after treatment.

Avoid use of products containing harsh ingredients such as retinol and fruit acids (AHAs/BHAs); commonly found in many anti-aging products. It is ideal to keep skin well hydrated at all times with a suitable moisturizer.

How Many Sessions Do I Need?

For smoother skin and a reduction in prominence of wrinkles and scars, clinical studies suggest 3 to 5 sessions done regularly at 4 to 6 weeks’ intervals.

Results are accumulative and progressively evident with each subsequent treatment performed. For individuals dealing with skin pigmentation, depending on its severity and the pre-determined intensity of each treatment scheduled, satisfactory improvement for superficial blemishes (eg: sun spots, age spots, freckles) may be achieved after just 1 to 3 sessions. Due to the chronic, relapsing nature of the skin condition itself, Melasma on the other hand may require more sessions for appreciable clearance. In addition, the control of known risk factors with avid sun protection and avoidance of hormonal triggers play an important role in the maintenance of the positive effects achieved.
