Get beach body ready

Living in this part of Southeast Asia, we’re spoilt for choice when it comes to weekend holiday destinations and beach resorts. Planning for one hardly takes up much time, much less the time it takes to get there.

If a quick beach weekend getaway is up next on your agenda and rocking a bikini body is what you’re after, you might want to try out these tips.

  1. Eat Right

5 days before your trip, cut out sugar and salt from your diet. Instead, stick to foods that are low in carbs and high in protein. Foods such as bread and white flour tends to retain excess water in your body, whereas foods high in Omega-3 have been found to reduce bloating.

Do also cut back on alcohol and carbonated drinks, and even raw vegetables (such as broccoli and cauliflower) as they’re known to cause puffiness.

  1. Body Treatments

Sculpt your body to perfection with Onda Body Magic, a well-established yet innovative non-invasive fat-busting treatment that uses patented CoolwavesTM technology to melt and dissolve stubborn deposits of fat. It works on different depths of body skin to effect fat reduction as well as skin tightening for an all-round body sculpting benefit.

This treatment is ideal for those who are already close to their ideal shape but just need a little extra help to make it perfect. Some have reported visible results with just a single session, with full results more commonly seen after a series of 4 to 6 treatments, or 6 to 8 treatments, depending on the areas.

  1. Prep your skin

For a healthy glow that screams beach-ready, step up your skin-buffing routine by adding an exfoliating body wash during your shower or using a bath mitt, glove or loofah with your usual body cleanser. Another great way to way to slough off dry, dead skin is by using sugar or salt scrubs. Try to exfoliate two to three times a week, massaging skin with a gentle circular motion. Go easy on the exfoliation and if you notice redness or irritation, use a gentler touch and scale back the buffing. Remember to lock in moisture once you step out of the shower to achieve baby soft skin. Last but not least, never, ever, forget sunscreen.
