Armed with a strategic game plan, you can be sure to achieve radiant-bride status on your special day.

One year before the wedding

With 12 months or more to go before the wedding, now is a good time to invest in laser treatments. These usually require more than 1 session, and requires time to achieve optimal results, particularly for concerns such as pigmentation, uneven skin texture, acne and tattoos.

With a well-planned series of treatments, you can be sure to set yourself for success in achieving the results you are after.

Nine months before the wedding

If you have thought of getting injectables such as fillers or anti-wrinkle injections done to rejuvenate the skin and improve lines and wrinkles, this time period would be ideal for you to give these treatments a try. Fillers and anti-wrinkle injections give you quick results and typically last between 4 to 6 months. Trying it out prior would give you an idea if you like the results for your wedding day.

It would also be ideal to start a facial regimen at this point, to help with deep cleansing, exfoliation and treating the skin’s concerns so you can look forward to skin being in tip-top shape by the time the wedding comes around. Besides, who doesn’t love a good facial to help unwind and relax from the wedding planning madness.

A few months before the wedding

A dose of skin rejuvenation is in order a few months before the wedding. This is a good time to get a chemical peel or a resurfacing laser done, to even out and brighten skin tone and improve skin texture, all with minimal downtime. Skin is smoother and appears more radiant, which makes it easier to apply makeup.

Daily maintenance

While all the treatments can help, it is still important that you maintain a basic skincare routine to help you get the best out of the treatments. This includes applying sunscreen daily and religiously, with at least SPF 30.

A weekly exfoliation is recommended to help eliminate dead skin cells and get the best out of your skincare products. Antioxidants applied daily in the mornings are recommended and including retinol in the evenings will help to combat signs of aging and pigmentation.

Always be gentle with your skin and avoid using products that are too harsh for your skin, which can cause skin irritation.

If ever you are in doubt, our team at SW1 is always here to help you to help you put your best face forward.
